Nick’s Fishing Tip of the Week: Hit the reef sites for fluke

The reef sites are going off for fluke once again, with top spots seemingly the Townsend’s Inlet Reef, Cape May Reef, Wildwood Reef, and Great Egg Reef.

Though no doormats have been boated lately, a solid show of 3- to 8-pounders are hitting squid and minnow combinations, bucktails, and strip baits.

Pick a day with a north or westerly drift, and target the morning hours for best success, before the afternoon south winds kick in and quell the bite.
